Is anyone familiar with using a Mopar Lifter Part # 53020586 in a Gen 2 Viper? I believe it is from a small block Dodge and they are the low or no bleed lifter. Would there be any problems in using these with a little more radical cam and heavier springs as long as we ensure the proper lash was set?

Thanks

Tim

I was told they are the same as a 360 Mopar from a reliable source. Can't confirm, but check into it and let us know...........

A silly question but what makes the Crowler better then the stock Viper Lifter or the 53020586 ?

With Solid lifters -solid(non hyd) cam- block has to be machined. You will definately make more top end power but beware comes at a price .Horrible vacume, street drivability suffers-low end torque ect and there may be oiling issues not to mention valve adjustments .My old GTS with a modded engine( Hyd Crower) cam ran 132 MPH Trap speeds(stock Pilots) on 92 Octane fuel and was fully streetable (even the AC worked._still has vacume)To get 20 Hp boost (of a solid) and deal with the nonsense that comes running a solid cam was not worth it to me.(feel free to call me at 732-977-7244 and i will go into more specificsJoe.)
