Very interesting! I thought I heard they used some sort of high-tech steel masking forms for the stripes on Vipers, but those pics show old school tape and paper.

Noticed in one of the other pictures from the factory from this series - there appeared to be a 2006 Copperhead Coupe with Black stripes and a Wing inside the factory. Anyone know the story on this car?

Noticed in one of the other pictures from the factory from this series - there appeared to be a 2006 Copperhead Coupe with Black stripes and a Wing inside the factory. Anyone know the story on this car?

That picture is taken at Prefix. The stripes are snakeskin. Owner having work done at Prefix.That's all I remember.....:)

If you go to the gallery, you can see the "jigs" that are used as a template for the stripes. The template is placed on the panel, and someone tapes the edges with the blue tape, removes the template, and tapes/wraps the portions that won't be painted. I wish I could get my hands on that jig for 2 days:D

When I saw the Snakeskin Green at the Russo & Steele Auction in Scottsdale last weekend, I fell in love with that color.......it's GREAT in person let alone on a pic. Great pics and thanks for sending.......

wait till you see the purple. i saw a swatch of it at Prefix. it's going to look GREAT!
