So, how active is the European Viper nation?

I don't know that the weather is too accommodating right now, but I am curious as to the types of activities the clubs do over there. I am heading over to Europe to do a little work (London, Paris, and Prague) and wondered if I might see any drive by. I will only be over there a couple weeks, but was genuinely curious. It is hard to imagine Vipers cruising by some of the incredible architecture over there. Would love to see pictures!

It would be a pleasure to see you in the UK.

We have about 14-15 active members, there are only about 35 Vipers in the UK, and we believe that the 2003 model will not be sold over here.

We do road runs, classic American car shows, GT racing meets, we have some teams that run Vipers that use us for advertisments and PR work.

Plus we have the best race tracks in the world and if you include Europe then the most awsome, the Nurberg Ring is just awsome and only for the very very brave!

Chris,

VCA Switzerland is quite active and is one of the largest club. There are some 165 Vipers in Switzerland and more than half are VCA members. Some of the cars are extensively modified and do quite well on the track. Apart from the annual meeting and the annual Viper tour (a different area of Switzerland every year), the most frequent activity is to have somme fun on the tracks. Courses are organised in Hockenheim, Monza and Imola (all outside Switzerland). Track time is also shared with VCA Germany, Swiss Cobra Club and the Swiss Corvette Club (last time on Salzburgring)

There were talks last year of a first VOI Europe in August 2001, organised by VCA Germany in Hockenheim, but I haven't heard of it lately.

My only problem is that the majority of members speaks only German which I do not yet understand...

Let us know if you plan to cross Switzerland.

You can find lots of pictures and videos on my Web page.

I am actually heading over on the "off" season - next week. Will be in London on Saturday (27th), Prague Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday, back to London for three days, and on to Paris for five more. Will finish up in London and leave the 15th. Don't expect any Viper events in that time, but sure do think it would be fun to own one there! Glad to hear you folks are so active and perhaps sometime I will bop over during the Viper season. Thanks for the feedback!
