Speedo Recalibration

After installing a Mopar Performance 3.73 rear ring and pinion, my speedo is logically reading higher than actual.

My question: Is there a way of reprogramming the speedo to work with different gears? I find it odd that Mopar would not have pre-thought this out when they developed the ratio kits.

Any thoughts?
