My 95 speedometer was acting up, bouncing around intermittently on rare occasions...now it finally stopped alltogether.

I changed the speed sensor
I checked the wiring over trans for cuts
I checked the connection at back of speedo but was hard to get to
I tried the turn signals because another member had a ground issue
I sent mail notes to a few people in the MCVO I was referred to but no response

Is there an easy way to check if power is getting to the back of the speedo? Couldn't I unplug it and hook something up to it and check it while moving? I'd actually like to borrow a spare speedo, rig up a modified cable about 4 feet long, plug it in, and test without having to remove mine from the dash. Of course, I know nothing about electrical so I wouldn't know how to make the cable.

Whatever you do, just don't get one of those 5" monster tachs. Meant as a joke. Sorry I can't help in assistance. Good luck!

Speedos....we don't need no stinkin' speedos. Put your right foot down until everything gets really blurry outside and you'll be just fine.... :D
