I want a set(4) of Stainless Steel brake lines for my '98 GTS. Who's got them and how much should I expect to pay?

Thanks! :usa:

hello dimitrios ,guess who ,the lines will give you much firmer pedal ,it is a performance mod they work great.stock lines are rubber and expand with heat and pedal pressure.big benefit with steel lines. chicken legs

Not stoopid! Smart to ask. Rubber lines age poorly, and expand under pressure, especially when hot. So the pedal pressure you need on lap 10 is greater than on lap 1, due to rotor / caliper / fluid heat. So it is difficlult to judge braking points EXACTLY the same each lap when your lines are expanding with heat.

SS lines result in uniform pedal pressure, lap 1 or lap 50. And stiffer more 'sensitive' feel on the street from lap 1. You can sense what is happening more accurately. We carry ONLY StopTech lines. They are individually prsssure tested, Yer-modle specific routing brackets, and plastic protective sheaths on the SS lines. Safer, easy to keep clean and shiny, and inspect.

We are under $400 delivered with fluid, (nicely under w/VCA price)

JonB fixed me up with a great package - the Stoptech Stage II. Includes all four SS lines, four great slotted rotors, and three bottles of Motul Dot 4 brake fluid.
Terrific deal.

Wow... and I hated paying the "Corvette Markup". $400 for SS lines is crazy. Yes they do help pedal feel on the track, but not $400 worth. They cost $100 for a Corvette and I'm sure they're the same thing.
