Can anyone tell me why SRT chose to go with two-piece StopTech slotted rotors on the new ACR instead of two-piece Brembo fully cross drilled rotors? Is it a performance advantage or a cost factor?

Good question.

Seen a bunch of cross drilled rotors crack and fail at the track though.

Ya... I would always go with a slotted compared to a cross drilled!!

Yes, fully drilled rotors are for show, they crack much easier than slotted versions of the same rotor. And stoptech makes better brakes IMO anyways. Though drilled may dissipate heat a little better, it's not worth the sacrifice in life span, better off working on the brake cooling.

This might be a good question for the engineers tech session?
