My Wife Joyce started a prayer/support thread on this board never expecting the responce and support that would be recieved by a wonderful group of people. His Doctors are very confident that if all of Nicks tests and coumadin levels are well that they will be releasing him tommorow.Nick has a very long road ahead of him but we along with the Doctors we feel that with his age, perseverance and last but certainly not least the support and prayers from some truly wonderful people will overcome this illness. Our family has been humbled by your prayers, best wishes and generosity.Nick will be on some very strong medications with some very potent side effects for some time to come plus two blood clots still remain,so it looks like hes going to get a desk job at the shop for awhile.which will give him plenty of time to write thankyou notes.Once again from the bottom of our hearts,THANKS!!!!!!!!!

P.S We look forward to seeing and meeting alot of you at the nationals

Scott and Nick

Hi Scott..........glad to hear about Nick. We have been praying for him. As you know, my wife too was in a scary situation with her diagnosis recently. After two months of tremendous stress and agony, we finally are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We sincerely believe that all the prayers worldwide helped Wendy in her dilemma. It was scary but we have survived the rough waters.
So will Nick and your family. Hang in there and I will see you soon. I do have to come by and see Nick, and maybe we can get the interior finished up. Best of luck.

Can I get a Hell Yeah!! Great news.

I've got ya---HELL YEAH!!-- :2tu:

Very happy to hear Nick is on his way to recovery! As a parent of a 2 1/2 year old Son named Mason, I can only imagine the heart ache Scott/Joyce must feel during this time.

Prayers do wonders, and so does a loving family!
God bless! Let's all be thankful.

I had a pulmonary embolism 13 years ago and was on warafin (generic for coumadin)fpr a little over a year. As you know, you have to be real careful with physical activity etc. I cought a cold and had a nasty cough, broke a blood vessel in my bladder and had some nice red ***** (scared the bejesus out of me), so even the somple things when you're on blood thinners can get you.
The road to recovery will be long, but life is well worth it!
All the best

Joe

Thanks very much for your insight and congratulations on your battle. As you know, you as well as Nick were very lucky to survive the embolism.I myself as a paramedic am very aware of the dangers as a simple cut can be devastating as the thinners turn your blood to koolaid(for lack of a better term)We had a 19 y/o girl die yesterday in Tampa playing basketball when she suffered a pulmonary emboli, unfortunately for here the was no early clot detection

i cant believe you could answer my two stupid questions during this stressful time. Maybe some seat time would go well with all the warm wishes and speedy recoveries.
