There\'s a new sound in my neighborhood - cats are gone!
I had the Roe oval high flow cats in my '96 GTS removed today. With the SVP headers and Borla cat back I picked up a few decibels. It sounds very similar at idle (a little louder) but at WOT there is an amazing difference. I think my wife might notice it the next time she rides with me. Fortunately she prefers riding in the FE. There is a very noticeable odor which you don't smell while moving. But parked after a drive you can't miss it. Time will tell whether I like it or not.
I did take the opportunity to thoroughly clean and polish the side sills while they were off. They looked really nice while on the car but turn them up side down and you will see how the bottoms take a beating. I'll have them repainted this winter and consider putting side splitters on to protect them. I'm thinking carbon fiber. Is there a vender that offers them?
