I am trying to seperate my cat elbows from my manifolds but it doesn't want to budge. I loosened the nut, took it off along with the bolt adn nothing happens, I guess being there for so many years it's stuck into position. Any tricks to getting it off without ruining it.

Use wd40 or some othe rpenetrating oil. Let it sit and then smack it with a mallet. you might have to smack it hard, but it'll come loose eventually.

Good luck!

The inner rings are stuck. The outer ring holds and clamps down onto the inner rings. The inner rings, there are 3 or 4, actually hold(clamp) the flex pipe and manifold together. If you had a good, leak-proof seal, the inner clamps will be stuck.
You can very gently pry each inner clamp away from the manifold with a screwdriver. After you get about 2 of them loose, it will usually become completely loose. They are reuseable, many times over, if you don't ruin one getting it off.

Oh yeah, if you are having a hard time prying the inner clamps, just knock the fire out of it with a hammer. Really, that is sometimes the easiest way to get them to loosen-up!

When you took the nut and bolt out, the remaining clamp forms a "C." See if you can't hit the end of the "C" in the direction that would rotate it around the pipe. You'll need something long to reach it, and it may not be oriented to do this.

Option 2; spread the "C" by pulling on one end, perhaps using a long wire so you have some leverage. The "C" is actually in four parts already, so it can be opened pretty wide.

If the clamp is off and it's still stuck, the manifold only goes into the pipe about 3/8" or so. A small hammer should do.
