A lot of posts talk about the importance of tuning a modified Viper. Often people will say that extra HP/TQ can be had with a proper tune.

So, the stupid question is: Can a Viper with a stock computer/PCM (ie. without an aftermarket such as VEC, AEM, Etc.) be tuned?

Plumcrazy is right if you are asking if the stock PCM can be tuned by a local Tuner.

It can be reflashed for $500 with a program that will modify timing and fuel but the tune will not be optimized for your car.

There have been a few VECIIs for sale in the $600 price range and that would be a better deal IMHO. This will allow you to tweak the tune as mods are added.
