What a great day the VCA had today at the NASCAR race! hope you enjoy all the pics - here are a few of my favorites!

here we are gathering before the race. i was told we had app 90 vipers!!

here we go - entering the tunnel at the track!

hold on! out on the track we go! the banking is indescribeable! 18 degrees didnt seem like much till you are actually on it. I guarantee you, that there is NO WAY, anyone could get out the passenger-side door!!

let the parade begin!! It was purely by my strong will to take good pictures for this forum, that I was able to take these photos at 120 miles per hour!!

Thank you VCA for a very nice day. Saw some old faces and met some new ones today. There sure are alot of beautiful cars out there! Great T-shirts, lunch, you name it, and a job VERY well done!! (Applause)

I must admit that I am not really into NASCAR. But I have always wanted to see a NASCAR race, and yes it was awesome. We had 6th row seats in the grandstands, and had the best seats in the house - driving vipers around on the track, with other vipers. It was beyond my wildest dreams.

Not only that, but I am always impressed at the really neat people you can meet in the VCA, and I got to hang out with them too at the same time. It really doesnt get any better than that.

It is because I am a "professional" - I dont recommend trying that at home!

OK, OK, I'll fess up - we were only doing about 15 / 20 MPH. But lets keep that our "little secret". Just dont let anyone else know, ok Vic?

You go road racing? I've got a video of John Dearing doing 150mph on the 17 degree banked turns of California Speedway, in his near stock GTS.


But his balls are modded. Traded 'em in for some steel ones, I guess.

You can do it too, just sign up for a club event at that track!

This is the first big club event I have attended. My schedule keeps me pretty busy. But after this event, I NEED to find time to attend more - I had an absolute blast. I plan on keeping more informed on upcoming activities, and getting to them one way or another.

You know, I thought so too! I can not tell you how many phone calls I made over 5-day time span, trying to find someone to go! I was really suprised - but I probably called 20 people before I found someone to ride with me that day!

It was in Joliet, IL - just South of Chicago. Chicagoland Speedway.

I just remembered something that i hope someone has an answer to..

Before we started our parade lap, and as we were exiting the pits, we were all stopping, so a photographer could take each one of our pictures.

What ever happened to those pics? Did they turn out ok? Did the gal forget to put film in the camera?

Remember? Anyone know?
