I'm assuming you're referring to the front of the hood. Mine was like that when they first rolled it off the transport. All that was required was to adjust the hood latch, but check a couple of things first -

1) Put some cooking oil on the rubber stoppers and close the hood. If there is oil on the underside of the hood above both stoppers, then they are adjusted properly, if not you may need to raise or lower one or the other to get the hood to seat properly.

2) Make sure both the left and right latches engage when you shut the hood, on mine the left never latched completely. If this is the case you can fix it yourself, but if the car is under warranty I would take it to a dealer to make sure it is done right (Don't want your hood opening at high speeds, or flexing and damage to occur).

To fix it mark where the latch bolts are now with a crayon or grease pencil, then loosen the bolts to adjust the latch, using the mark as a reference, then trial and error 'till you get it like you want. You may have to do either latch or both, and might need to adjust down the rubber stops before you start. Hope this helps!

I had the same problem as Dave when I first started using my viper. I was scared to shut the hood hard so I didn't get it seated well. One side would stick up a little. Make sure you position your hands directly over the latches and then shut it hard. This fixed my problem hope it helps you solve yours.
