VA/MD Vipers Owners, Question on meetings

Hey all VA/MD Vipers. I was at a car show this weekend and talked to a dude that mentioned there was some kind of informal meet every week (Saturdays maybe?) at some Burger King in Manassas. Is this true? Ron never mentioned it so I assume it is informal, adhoc, etc. If so, send me the details (location, time, etc.) and I'll stop by sometime. Thanks!

It's not a Viper meet. There are all types of cars there, hot rods, muscle cars, etc. I think people start gathering there around 7:00 PM on Saturdays to start getting spaces.

If memory serves me, the Burger King is off of 28.

There are usually a few Vipers to show up at the Saturday Cruise-In at the Burger King in Manassas off route 28 by the airport. I made my first appearance there in about two years this past Saturday, and we had 6 Vipers show up throughout the course of the evening. Another local cruise-in is Friday night at the Lowe's in Sterling.

None of these are Viper events, but, of course, anywhere there's a car show, there usually are a few Vipers. The Vipers will be a huge presence at the All-Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle on Saturday, July 9. You should have received an email from me this week detailing information on the event.

Hey Ron. Yeah I got it. I actually registered through the webpage. I called them and they said they would except online registration until at least Tuesday of next week. Of course, the price has gone up.

So where is this Burger King? I see it's on 28 but where? South of I-66 I gather. You know my new office is a block from 28 near Dulles. Should be a fun commute every day. Woopie.

It is South of the city of Manassas (immediately South of the Prince William County Parkway and Rt. 28 Intersection). This is in the area of the Manassas Airport. Older muscle cars and hot rods tend to gather earlier in the afternoon and people come and go until it closes at 10pm. Towards dark it tends to change over to a younger ricer and late model mustang crowd. 5-8 pm tends to be prime time.

The Lowes that Ron mentioned is located a few miles North of Dulles, make a right on Nokes Blvd towards the Dulles Town Center Mall and Lowes will be your first right. That is a good option if you'd like to kill a little time and avoid fighting traffic South to Fredericksburg!

The Burger King is right next to the 234 bypass and rt 28.

Mapquest the Manassas Airport, it will get you 98% there.

If you come up 95 to 234, go towards Manassas, take the Rt 28 exit, south, you will see the BK and Micky D's on the left (about 150 yards), YOU ARE THERE!

Yeah its definetly nice to go to. I have been with Mark 2 times now. We went around 5-6pm both times I think. There are some great cars there! Usually a few vipers. PM me if you're going to.

Cool! Thanks! I've been right by there several times. I like to travel on 234. That's not a bad road. I'll probably pass this Friday and the next three Friday's I'm booked doing other things (with the Viper of course). So, it may be August before I get up there, but I'll stop by a few times this year. I'll PM you guys when I go.
