We bought a Viper with a VEC-2 installed - the owner was going to get a supercharger for it but never did - and the rpm's go from about 1200 to almost 0 constantly (it's died on me twice!). Almost like a car with a huge race cam in it. Is this thingjust not tuned right or is this how they run?

What should I do to get this Viper running true - ie - a constant idle?

TIA

Check to make sure that under the preferences menu, you have selected the proper model (gen I/II/III) with the correct MAP sensor (internal/stock). If you are using it on a NA motor, I would use the stock MAP sensor since it has a higher resolution for vacuum. Check the fuel offset tab as well and start with offset for each cylinder at 0 ms. You can adjust it to your car as needed from there.
