Which should I get for deleting my cats, the o2 simms or a Vec1. The Vec1 will cost about $75 more. Any suggestons?

VEC1 doesn't tell your PCM everything is fine behind where your cats use to be. Only the simms can do that.
Get the VEC1 so you can tune the mods you've done including the cat delete.

Great, thanks for clearing that up, I may get both. Are the vec1's easy to use?

Set em and forget em until either you do other mods or drive in a drastically different climate/altitude.
You can either use a dyno or seat of your pants to set. I used the set of my pants. But I can give you some basic starting points if and when you get one my fellow canuck!

Get the O2 simms that are plug in. No splicing. Got mine from Casper Electronics for the 02 RT/10.

Get the VEC2, really.

Really, is it that much better? Is the vec1 a waste of time?

In my opinion, yes it is a waste going with the VEC1. The VEC2 allows for real tuning and will give significant gains especially under the curve.
