hi, strange i couldnt modify the wires that Sean recommended for the VEC2, the diagram Sean sent me is easy only 3 wires to work with. Cut 14_Blue (Master) Cut 14_Blue/white (Slave) Connect 14M & 14S together, then Cut+Tape 13_Gray (Master) i did this and the car start but it wont fire like it ran out of gas or something, i even added more gas to make sure. and it didnt start :( any ideas ? did i do something wrong ?

Make sure your connectors at the rear of the vec2 are seated all the way in.

The gray/black wire (crankshaft sensor)is attached to one of the wires coming from the vec2...correct ??

For those who don't understand what MBN is trying to do, he's attempting to alter his older wiring harness on his yellow Viper to the newer design we're making with no connection into the cam sensor. Normally, we had people send them in to us and we did it here. Only two people (including MBN) have attempted this on their own (out of about 120 we did last year).

Hi MBN,
First, use the harness on the Final Edition car to compare what you've done on the yellow car.
In summary, what you're doing is connecting the master # 14 "into" the existing wire going to the slave at #14, not just cutting and connecting them together. #14 on the slave was connected to the crank sensor signal, so by tapping into this wire, you're providing the master circuit board with a crank RPM signal also.
The original wires that went to #13 and #14 on the master board should be connected together, and to nothing else, "before" they reach the VEC2, in effect, passing the cam sensor signal along as it was originally.
Please reference how the wiring harness is on the FE. If you cannot get it sorted out, remove the harness at the forward and rear connections and send it to us.

Regards,
Sean
