I'm looking at getting a Paxton setup in a couple months, but I want something in the mean time...

I understand certain things the Vec 3 can do (adjustablity is one thing), but I have heard that it is still better to get the flash for somethings that the Vec 3 can't do...

I vaguely remember someone telling me about the fuel imjection with emissions being one of them.. Can't really remember though..

I have the K+N, Random Tech Cats, Corsa Track 3 inch, 180 degree thermo, 3.55 gears...

I was really thinking of getting the flash so I can get something to play around with in the meantime... But will I have to reflash when I get the Paxton? or could I then get a VEC 3 and adjust everything else...

Anybody's insight would be great!....

Also whats the going price for getting the Dark SSR's? with a really good tire setup?

Also does anybody know if you can gets these in a 19 inch in the rear?
Does Forgline make a similar rim with a similar color?

Thanks,

Joe

Well I was in the same delima between the DC Flash or a Vec3. I then decided that the Vec 3 was the way to go mainly because Roe will continue to send you updated chips as yoour mods increase. The DC flash requires removing the pcm evertime you want something changed. I sent Dave at Roe my current baseline Dyno and they are sending me the Vec3 and ram chip this week. Once finished I'm heading to the dyno to see if I get results worth the money. Thats my .2 worth on how I made the decision. Ohh yea if you are waiting on the Roe Supercharger theyn told me that it will require the Vec3 and they will offer two different prices for those without it and those with. So I see it as an investment for the near future too :headbang:

Thanks for the reply... :)

What kind of horsepower increase did you see with your mods???

Maybe I should wait for the Roe supercharger.....Would be kind of cool to be one of the first to have one.... The only bad part would be if there were any bugs...

I am also not sure how well my gears would work....

I have heard stories about the paxton and the 3.55's, I wonder how the Roe system would be.....hmmmm....

Its hard to say what the two mods (K&N and the Corsa) did for me. I had my first Dyno done this past Friday with those on. I made about 470RW Torque. Not sure if thats good or not. The guy who did my Dyno said that the car was running lean up to 3KRPM and then rich on up. He believes there is good power to be had with a good tune (this is where I hope the VEC3 and ROE come in)? Well see though. I hope to have results this weekend. As to your gearing....Im not sure. If you are concerned call Roe. They are very nice on the phone even for someone like me who doesn't know "JACK" but is trying to learn. If I supercharge some tim it will be the roe racing one. I have always liked the twin screw type superchargers from what I have read (no real world experience though).
