Acording to Autoweek the 2002 ZO6 will have 405 HP. (Standard Vett = 350 hp.) These should be coming out about the same time as the fantastic 2003 Viper/3 with 500 conservative HP!. It must gall those at Chevy to realize they have just become competitive with a 10 year old VIPER! (400 HP)

Great observation. I have felt this way from day one on the Z06. The real benchmark for it is our Gen I Viper. I am happy that the Z06 is out because it represents another great car for sportscar fans. Yet we hear from all of the media and Mr. Dave Hill himself claiming that Corvette has now conquered the sports car world. Corvette won't be in the big game until their big cube motor comes out in ~2004. Then watch out! Corvette could be on top again.

I'll believe it when I see it. They lost me 20 years ago. Big cubes might win me back but with 505 CID from Dodge it'll be a tough sell.
