Yup, my family hauler vs one very quick headers+exhaust+rockers '97 Viper GTS:

This was early in the evening, before I had figured out how to get the Benz launched properly. Still, even my best run (11.99 @ 117) wouldn't have been enough against the snake. Guess I'll have to bring the yellow car

NICE!

Who runs the 97? Little dozy off the lights but he(she?) can bang the gears pretty good.

Any chance you noticed what kind of tire he was running?

And from your end how the heck did you drop a half second already in that thing?

I think you may have the ultimate Q ship there, have you pondered the fact that your 11.99 is faster than Car and Drivers time on an 02 GT2, interesting, very interesting....does it have cupholders??:D

Downloading the vid now :) So what mods did you end up doing? Intake & Filters? Was this on pump gas? I thought it would be a bit quicker considering its a turbo motor, thought maybe you would have gotten 75-100hp  The Maybach has the same motor and already has 50 more hp from the factore.

It looks like the MB was pulling pretty strong at the start.

I couldn't see very well what happened at the end.

I had trouble reading the time slips.

It looked like the Viper did 11.77 and 122mph
The Mercedes looked like 12.47 and 115.

Sounds like your Viper really came alive toward the end.

Pretty awesome for a family car.

The Viper was running very strong, and gradually walked away from me at the 'strip. He had the Forgeline VR-1 19" wheels with Pilot Sport tires, and turned in a 1.866 60' and an 11.775 @ 122.22 to my 12.477 @ 115.9

As for how I dropped half a second, easy:
1. Send ECU to RENNtech for reprogramming
2. Swap stock rear tires for Potenza S-02A 275/40-18
3. Learn how to do a burnout in the Benz, and practice launching

The S600 is an absolute beast. It still wasn't getting full traction until 60 mph, and that'll be my next area for improvement. RENNtech tells me they saw 525 RWHP on the dyno

I'm impressed. Now I'm kicking myself for not getting the CL600 (I got a 500). Wow! Great cruiser.

The S600 replaced the E55 order. I think if another new car showed up at Chez Treynor, my wife would "request" that I live in it. My spousal car capital is all used up right now
