VIN Breakdown???

could someone breakdown a vin number for me and tell what all the letters and numbers represent? thanks in advance.

I've got an updated version I have not loaded yet, and an a two part article on VIN's starting in the next issue of VCA notes. Digits still mean the same things, two letters have changed, one for the safety stuff, don't recall the other off the top of my head, as for the year digit it is 2 for 2002, 3, for 2003, 4 for 2004, etc.....
