Ron:
Saturday was a soggy day, that cleared around 1:00P. TCRA guys with street tires ran in the rain. We got in some laps that afternoon, but were very careful to avoid a "knee deep in mud" off track excursion.

Sunday's weather was outstanding. There were 7 Vipers. They reduced the number of run groups due to lower attendance and that yielded 35-40 minutes per run. Plenty of track time and fun.

We ran clockwise with the back straight open the entire length.

We missed ya!!!

Sunday was a day for Vipers to rule the track. In the door to door race our new friends from San Jose ran away from the pack. Easy run, as it was several seconds a lap faster than all the others, included was a race tire'd ZO6, a nicely prepared Porche 928, a gnarly sounding Mazda rotary.
When the ZO6 went out to practice with the Vipers it was like taking a knife to a gun fight. He put it on his trailer before the end of the day Sunday.
Greg Baxter's red ACR ran strongly while Said's GT2 with Hoosiers looked terrific. Morgan's blue an white GTS sounded the meanest among the Southern Cal group. A black RT/10 and a White 96 RT/10 also ran strongly and proudly. The Vipers did themselves proud that day.

SoCal,

I posted this on Friday night, but it might have gotten buried over the weekend - some edited in-car clips from Button Willow last September:

If you've already seen it then disregard.
