VOI.8 Hotel Rate Goes Up May 2nd

REMINDER:

You must fax in your hotel reg TODAY 5/1 to get the "Early Bird" rate of $165.

It goes up to $180 on 5/2. Hotel phone 866-782-7897, but they are pretty insistant on FAXING the reg form that you can download on VOI.8 above or here:

I just called the hotel to find out which date was actually correct. The person in charge of the event is not in until Monday (of course) and the person I spoke with was not very knowledgeable. She said the information she had from the Viper Club states the cut off date is today (5/1/04). I told her that the form I downloaded from the VOI web site states it is 5/24/04. She advised me to register today and there would be no problem. I said what about the hundreds of others who are assuming the 5/24 date is correct. She gave me a name of their person in charge of the event (Kim Voigt) and number to call. The message says she will be in on Monday - after the deadline!!!
Does anyone on here have the correct information?

I tend to be a procrastinator. I will go by the May 24 date. I think they should honor that since it's in writing and the only source of information for some of us (I wouldn't even know about the possibility of today's deadline were it not for JonB's post).
If I am wrong, I will pay more then...that will also give me months more time to procrastinate

I just could not get 33 years of the travel biz out of my blood....When I made the above post, I simultaneously emailed Joe Houss, and Fiona at VCA HQ. I suggested they extend the EarlyBird date since the VOI.8 is still 4 mos away.... They liked the suggestion, then changed the deadline on the form, and VCA will advise the Hotel and VCA Presidents TODAY. So the OFFICIAL deadline is now 5/24. "VCA, responsive as always"
