Got the petal to the floor in third gear coming to a 25MPH turn at about
90MPH  took foot off gas pedal car still pulling like a VIPER Holy S!$t!Tryed the brake NO HELP  Had trees on both sides Did not want to turn ignition off running out of time I Slammed the Brake and Clutch petals both at the same time hoping that the motor would not come apart. All of a sudden the gas let go and the car came to a stop and the motor was just idling
Pulled over to see what happend? I found that when you have the pedals
extended out as far as they go and you have an aftermarket SRT-10 floormat
that the gas pedal gets wedged into the floor and by stomping on the brake and
clutch pedals it gave the pedal cluster just enough of a shock to release
the gas pedal.

Just hoping this does not happen to any one else!!

Exact reason why floormats should NEVER be used during road course, drag racing or autocross events.

what do you need floor mats for anyway. Also factory mats come with hooks so they wont move.Glad to hear everything is alright and nothing bad happened. But do yourself a favor loose the mats or get hooks.

I got the mats for the look. But the mats did not move! The pedal when it is
as far up as it goes it actually digs into the mat everytime you put the pedal
to the floor. if the pedals are moved in a little they will clear just fine
its only when they are all the way up. Just trying to help if you are short
and you have mats make sure that the pedal cluster is not all the way up.

Thanks Joe
