Warrantee question. Surgestions needed. (pics)

The leather on my steering wheel and brake lever is losing color. It is not cracked or ripped, only the color is coming off. Also the gas cap is corroding.

When I called DC they would not give me a straight answer. Told me it's on a case by case basis. Also gave me some BS story about hand lotion. Said if I use hand lotion the leather would not be covered. I don't use hand lotion, but still sounds fishy.

Has anyone had these things replaced under the original factory warrantee. I am taking the car in for some other issues and will ask them to change these items also. Just want to know what to expect.

That is covered under the factory Warranty! No question!! If the Dealer gives you a hard time about it, call me and I'll see if I can help you.
