what if I drilled the K&Ns out more?

Do any of you more mechanically inclined folks have a theory on what would happen if I drilled the holes out a bit more (e.g. something like 9/16th on the left and 5/16 on the right)?

Not really thinking of doing it but just curious if anyone has thoughts on what would happen.

I enlarged mine a bit. I dont think it matters at least for the larger 1/2 hole since I seen cars with a small crankcase filter instead of attaching it directly to the air inlet. Most turbo cars have it since they run the stainless pipe.
