What's this bracket for?

I have the interior from my '09 ACR out and have begun the process of fabricating a roll bar for it.

There is a "roll bar" integrated into the car but it technically does not meet the "official" requirements to be deemed a Roll Bar.

On both side pillars, there is a bracket that is welded to the frame struts which have 2 thru holes and 2 threaded holes (nuts welded to the backside).

Any idea what they are there for?
Maybe used during the assembly process as the car/frame moved down the line?

Any thoughts on whether this would be an acceptable place to bolt the fabricated roll bar to?

The bar is a Roof Support Bar.... definently not a rollover- Roll-Bar

The holed-brackets with tru&thru holes would also NOT likely pass race-tech for a roll-bar mount.

I just installed an autoform in my 05 vert. I really like the way it ties into the lower frame rails. If you've not seen one, try and find someone willing to take their rear panel off to show you how it works. It might give you an idea of how to build your own system.

Those look like the brackets that are used to hold the convertible top in place when the Viper is configured as a Vert.

Oh that makes sense.

After looking at the frame from inside and out, we have identified the "strong" points which are ideal for roll bar anchoring.
