Re: What\'s wrong with this ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
Stolen eBay ID's are FAR more common than you would think. One of our fellow Viper members here in KC went to look at his auctions and instead of a few trinkets, he had 75 plasma TV's listed for well under cost. Dumbfounded, he realized that somebody from Europe had stolen his ID. Once they crack your ID, they then change all the information including the payment information (so it goes to them) and contact information. The result is that people see great feedback with an established history and bid away (or do a Buy It Now). Most of these scam artists don't have the patience to do 100+ legitimate transactions to build up their feedback, plus they don't want a legitimate history where eBay and the Feds can track them. Much easier to steal an ID.
Bottom line: If you haven't used your eBay ID in a while, you might want to check up on it from time to time. They typically target inactive accounts (knowing you are less likely to catch it during the 5-10 days they run the scam) with 100+ positive feedbacks. Even saw one where the guy had 3000+ feedbacks and they got him while he was in the hospital for surgery. Lots of bad guys out there!
