wheels for less? I think Vipers have some of the highest priced wheels on the market. But if we had a 5 bolt pattern, you think the wheels would cost less? We would have more varity to choose from.

Five bolts are plenty strong. Plenty of 1000+hp cars out there running with 5 bolts and I've never heard of anyone's axles falling off. I don't think there are tires out there sticky enough to twist a wheel off an axle.

18x13, or 18x10 wheels in 5 bolt aren't any cheaper in the brief searches I've done. It's the width that costs ya.

i think it has more to do w/ the size of the wheels and the number of those wheels that have the potential to be sold. Which is relatively small in the vipers case, opposite of my miata which you can buy many different sets for less than $500-600 and there are almost 600,000 potential customers vs. 20,000 +- to spread out development and production over.

Price really isn't the big issue it's the shortage of styles. All the popular styles are becomming more common than stock wheels.
