While getting a haircut I was paging through a MT and saw the C6

I'm not a convertible guy.I prefer the better lines,etc of a coupe.I turned down an SRT to keep a GTS.To me the C6 convert isn't interesting,however the classic lines of the coupe.Now that I like.If I were buying today it would almost be a toss up between A GTS or C6 Coupe.Throw the upcoming Z06 coupe into the mix and....? I think the C6 looks just like a "riced out C5". not very much difference. I dont think a Corvette can ever be on the same page as a GTS, no matter how fast it is, or how well it handles. The ONLY way that could EVER happen, would be if they went back to the drawing baord, made it radicle, LIMITED PRODUCTION, and upped the price. A choice between cars that have similar appeal were produced at 1000/tear, Vs 25000+ per year isnt hard...

seeing a corvette every day is the real kicker. I really like the c6. I think it looks great. 5 years from now I'll be sick of it. No excitement. Limited production has that major advantage.

I firmly believe, as so adroitly stated by Ex-Presidente Ferguson, that we may see a Coupe by 06-07.What we all need to do is bombard current Head Leader , Joseph Houss, and keep him at home with all our emails. They should be friendly little anecdotes,like:

Dear Joe,
1. We want a Coupe now, or we will TP your houss - play on words, of course.
2. We had an Rt-10 with a Toupe, now we want a Coupe!
3. Tell DC that we are conservative and we feel going ******* is a sin.
4. I am going to poo* until I get a Coupe -- wow,that was a weird one!
5. We will pay more money for a Coupe --- that should get someone's attention. After it is almost built we will tell them we will pay the same. Come on we have to be bold.
6. A SRT-10 without a SRTGTS is like a day without sunshine.



Anyway, lets all send Joe tons of emails,and when he can't get anything done at his job, he will break down and send us a very influential person's secret email at DC and then...........we can bombard them to death!!

I like front engine GT cars.Especialy 60-70's ferrari etc.I don't know if chev is copying the gts viper or some of the cars the gts viper copied.I don't like the c5 series at all.Who knows when I see the c6 in person I just might laugh or puke. Bruce

Bruce you should be careful about what you read while getting a hair cut. Seeing a C6 picture could result in a racing strip down your head due to a quick jerking back manuever.

Just kidding. I actually am starting to grow fond of the C6. If the next Z06 has anything close to the performance level that is talked about I may have to get one (as a daily driver).
