Who makes the best short throw shifter, Has anyone broke the new B&M shifter

How many people have broke the old style B&M shifter. Did you replace it with a B&M or switch to another brand? I currently have the old style B@M and would like to upgrade to prevent any future problems. Any recommendations? Tim

I am already using a MGW gripper knob with a B&M short shifter. I'm looking to upgrade the short shifter due to possible manufacture's defect.
