Windshield Cowl help

are gen-1 and gen-2 windshield cowls interchangeable?

can i use a gen-2 windshield cowl on a gen-1?

Part numbers for 92-93, 94-95, 96, and 97-up are different. (i.e. four different part numbers.) You'll have to find someone that tried it.

Pretty sure they are as I have one of each.

The Gen 1 is a heavier material than the Gen 2 and also the gen 1 is shaped differently at the wiper shaft hole area. But other than that I think they will mount up to each other.

I have a Carbon Fibre Cowl which had previously been on a 2000 GTS on my GenI, fits fine... Whether they would be different was not something I had thought about previously... I can only assume as this fits, that you shouldn't have a problem.

They newer ones were made in a green paint repellent polymer only. Sorry!

The bubbling paint usually occurs in ther rivet areas. My question is...what is the rivet "riveted" to? Is it holding the insulation material?
