I was there. The Woodhouse and DR Racing Teams had 4 Viper Competion Coupes entered in the race. Kuno Wittmer in the #13 Woodhouse Viper won the pole position and set a new track time record during his qualification run. It was a tight field of cars with 1 sec separarting the top 8 cars for the race. Since this is a standing start race, Kuno out drag raced everyone into turn #1 with his powerful red Viper. A black Mustang (#5) was close behind him but never had a real chance. Kuno drove the beautiful Viper hard throughout the race and continued to leave the Mustang further and further behind. WOW! It was great to watch Kuno drive. He is really a top notch driver who was behind the wheel of the best car on the track.
The Woodhouse and DR Racing Teams are all fantastic, Viper crazy people just like us. Please get out to see their beautiful cars and enjoy a excellent race. It's like the old Trans AM racing series, all over again. There are also some great drivers that they have to win against. Guys like; Fellows, Pilgrim, Pobst and 14 other telented drivers will be there to do all that they can to beat our Vipers.
It is an excellent racing venue and a lot of great cars and people.
The next races are:
May 21-23 Mosport, Canada
July 2-4 Watkins Glen, NY
July 17-18 Streets of Toronto, Canada
Aug 6-8 Mid - Ohio
Sept 10-12 VIR, VA
Oct 1-3 Miller Motorsports Park, UT
They deserve and need our support.
More pictures of the Long Beach Race are on the Dodge Facebook web page.

I just watched the replay of Wittmer at Long Beach online, wow what a race! Right off the line at the beginning he was on his game, you could tell he was really dialed in with the Viper that's for sure. #13 car is gonna be fun to watch.

That was too bad about Ron Fellows in the corvette, he truly is an amazing driver and he sure knows how to work the traffic.

So, what happened at Mosport? Did they put some weight on the Vipers? (Not saying anything wrong with podium finishes, just wondering if there was anything going on behind the scenes...)
