coming home from work yesterday, i saw half of the front end of a black viper sitting on the side of the edens expressway (n.b.) around golf rd. who was it?
brought my car in yesterday afternoon for some final check-ups before heading down to Dyno Day tomorrow and Tom made sure everything was completed and ready to go. i recommend Tom and Finish Line Dodge for anyone looking for a qualified and competent Viper serviceman / dealership on the north...
need advice on \"controlled shifting\"
it could be that i'm just not practiced enough, but what is the best advice on not losing the rear end when slamming into 2nd gear(or 3rd for that matter)? i'd like to head to Route 66 drags next month, but not if i can't control my car.
i had a post talking about how no one cared about the new srt at the auto show, but apprently big brother running the board deemed it not to his liking. so it got deleted. when did i move to iraq?
I just installed the "gripper" knob by MGW and does it make the shifter seriously short! Any feedback +/- on this knob? i may add a 1" nipple to increase the length. Bad idea?
What \"kind\" of car is a Viper?
in a discussion in another car forum, someone mentioned that there are no musclcars anymore. i chimed in and said that i have a 488ci V-10 in my garage that says otherwise. someone brought up that a Viper is an "exotic supercar" and someone else said it's a...
today's Cicago Sun Times has an article on the new SRT-10. among other things, they mention how a Viper is a "solid investment." "A 1992 Viper is valued at $58,650 in 'excellent condition' by the Cars of Particular Interest value guide."
the economy sucks right now. it's a buyers market for...
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT HAVE BEEN POISED ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEATS WAITING FOR THE NEWS ABOUT MY MATS, THEY FINALLY ARRIVED. AFTER 1-1/2 MONTHS OF ANXIOUSLY WAITING AND BEING BLOWN OFF BY VIPERWARE, ALL I CAN SAY IS : THEY'RE FLOORMATS. THEY LOOK NICE, BUT I BET OTHER VENDORS HAVE EQUALLY NICE...
just an update from my post 2 weeks ago. my girlfriend STILL hasn't received the mats she ordered for me. she has finally spoken with people there and neither one seems to know what is going on. one day they say the mats are ready for shipment, they're sorry for the delay, and they will send...
that's it. anybody having problems or had problems with them? my girlfriend ordered some floor mats from them for me and the mats haven't shown up and no one is returning her calls or ems.
i just applied mine that i got from Cutting Edge graphics (in Canada, eh) and they are by far the best i've seen. i don't have pics of mine, but jimandela posted pics of his. the best part: only $19.99. it took a little time to apply because each letter has to be cut out and applied...
paper beats rock, rock beats oil pan.
my mechanic had my car out for a test drive yesterday when an oncoming truck spit a rock right in front of him. he drove over it, it hit the oil pan, and it took out an entire chunk of 1 corner - about 1/2" wide x 1-1/2" long.
good news - i got a free oil...
...on the way home from Nashville yesterday. Traffic was extremely packed. he did pass slower traffic on the right on an entrance ramp. didn't know that was legal. hell, in that case i would have just passed everyone on the shoulder. however, in the immortal words of James T. Kirk: "I need more...
...up until the point that someone doesn't realize how quickly you're moving and they change lanes or cut right in front of you. then i have to lay on the horn which is pointless because it is about as loud as a mouse fart. Anyone have ideas on a decent sounding LOUD horn?
