Thanks Tree, those are really nice looking pieces. Gives me some ideas. The reason I believe there is a lot of rejects in the arms is due too the bushing holes are not a constant, some may not be useable due to the bushing "bores" not perfectly aligning with each other, this is not a issue with the rubber bushings cause they give enough to slide the bolts in place, what you have now has no give, I am going to rebore to a little larger hole..thanks for the pictures!!
Here's a pic of the billet handles I designed for my car..I anodized them red so that they can be seen easily inside or outside the car...made a nice little billet bracket to hold the handle, then a little adjuster for the cable slack, added the rubber boot for a finishing touch...I will post some pics of the control arms when I get them done..working on some adjustable links right now...I need to make that cut in the front cover, bought a wing and splitter from VipAir...with the brake cooling ducts....it was nice to see your pictures...talked to Mike at Brembo today..got the part numbers for the X rotors , I ordered the stoptech rotors for the rear..getting there slowly...fun project tho...what did you do for motor mounts?

I am using The Woodhouse poly engine and trans. mounts. Mark J can help you there.


That's a good idea for the door... :2tu: I am trying to decide on my doors now because I am planning to keep my side windows. The reason for keeping them is I will occasionally pull the car with an open trailer, rain etc.
Another reason for the windows is that since I have a VIN, I will drive mine on the street....

(Another advantage to building your own...:D)

I started down the HP to weight ratio path..cutting this cutting that..lexan window in back..started selling the unwanted on ebay..found out the thing was a cash cow in parts...now I am selling anything not race related! I bought a Viper from that Woodhouse group..I will call there about the mounts..Thanks so much for everything..hopefully someday we will meet at the track soon, I was thinking I would go to the next invitational, never been to one...thats a great drag strip...Hopefully I will have the new road racer car done and I will bring my Drag Viper with me too, for some real thrills! Ron

I have "legal", lighter tint now. Hate to get pulled over for that. But like you said, if I roll down the windows I will have some talking to do.....:rolaugh:

Checked on the brake pads for this set up and was told that they are about 3mm thinner than regualr an OE size pad. Can you let us know?

Yes I can. I'm sure I have some OE pads for comparison. Pics to follow.

I don't see them being a whole lot different than the above photos though....

Treesnake - do you really ever drive your Vipers - seems like all we ever see are pictures of your Vipers in pieces and parts :rolaugh:.

I'm having some serious Viper withdrawal and my Serpent is in hibernation right now. May need to get over and unwrap it today as the sun is out! It would definitely be good for my mental health!

Nice build.

I can tell you the X brakes are killer. I have a 09 acr and a 10 ACRX. Just came back from the weekend at VIR and could not fathom the brakes on the X. Running down the front straight and hitting those brakes before turn 1 was a thrill every time. Im sure you will find the same. Good luck with the build.

For those of you that haven't worked with BBG. It's somewhat different than we are accustomed to....
Toddy called me,......:omg: that's right, he called me several times just to let me know the progress and that things were on schedule.
"Progress" phone calls and on schedule..... Unheard of.....:rolaugh:

I started reading about the success of the Gen 4 clutch/flywheel combination. Then decided to look into the BBG heads/ intake porting. Toddy has really gone out of his way to get things right according to what my intentions for the car are. And almost as important, get the parts back to me quickly.


I have an appt. for the car at Motor Sport Ranch in Texas one week from today.
It's going to be close but I WILL NOT be waiting on my parts from BBG.
Thanks again Toddy.

We do have a lot to do in 6 days....:crazy2:

The brembo brake calipers are the same as the street car. The brembo rotors are a bolt on 2 piece floating rotor. Again a direct bolt on from stock. They are very pricey. Some folks swear by them, some swear at them. If you want a pocket book friendly 2 piece rotor, consider the StopTech Aero rotors. Lots of folks run them with great results on the track. Yours truly included. They are a direct bolt on from stock also.
