Jesus Christ, this rumor again? The Viper already outperforms any F-car on the track.... regurgitating the regurgitation from MT.

From Ralph's twitter, "There is NO truth to this. Ferrari plays to a totally different market. Based on joke I made at the NY reveal"

So that is dead, moving on....

MT has pretty much lost all credibility with a lot of enthusiasts. It's sad they are so biased and full of $hit. Let's hope Ralph gets the ACR right.

Jokes made, items taken out of context, misquotes, we see them all everyday and it is so common many of us take everything with a grain of salt till proven. Unfortunately we seem to have quite a few people who seem to follow the lead of a familiar State Farm commercial ...................." It has to be true because it was on the internet." " What , where did you hear that." " On the internet."

Afraid some of these blogs and blurbs were done by a French Model -- bone jewwurr !!

Oh well, let people believe what they want to believe... When the ACR does come out, I'm sure it will strike terror(and perhaps a bit of lust) in to harts everywhere!

Either the ACR will surpass the F12 or it won't........

Keep in mind, Ralph is kind of the cause of this since he said it, sarcastically or not, at the reveal. Ralph has the attitude to say something unfiltered. I truly and honestly got the impression that he said that comment because it was brought up to him and he was passing it off as sarcasm. All this drama is a good thing no matter how you look at it. It is either not true and will be good ammunition for SRT to present a rebuttal to Fiat if it ever happened, or it is true and Ralph has all this drama to present a case to have that decision reversed.

Remember, complaining can be good if it is constructive. We all have complaining to thank for the new interior and build quality. Don't forget that. Lets just be sure to stay constructive and the Viper will continue to improve over time.

I have a Pilates class with Sergio in about an hour....I'll confirm what is really going on and report back.

Cheers,
George

Well, had a good workout with Sergio today (Sergio Pasquale, my Fiat mechanic). I asked him what he thought about the Viper not exceeding the F12's horsepower to weight ratio. He felt that although this was true nearly a year ago, a lot has changed since then. From a financial point of view, Chrysler is Fiats cash cow. And as they say in the small Italian town of Chieti, "If the cow is making good milk, don't use it to pull the plow"...(I'm sure this lost a little in the translation).

Cash is king, and at this point I think Fiat should consider giving the cow a little extra food to keep it happy.

Lets hope Sergio is correct.

Cheers,
George

This will be settled when the Viper Coupe, Vert and ACR are all putting out 700 factory hp at a value price and in a position to put a smackdown on the Vettes, P-Cars and others... .

I would also prefer to see better cockpit ergonomics--not just good leather and gadgets. Routing the exhaust to the back is fine with me if it eliminates the high door jambs. This is also consistent with making the Snake appeal to a large audience.

Time will tell, but it is good that we still have a Viper!

I like the high sills. Although it risks roasting the unwary passenger's calves, it means I never will get that dreaded scraping noise as the bottom of the door drags across the pavement when my passenger gets out.

If the transmission ever moves to the rear like on the GTS-R, then we may get more interior space, but when I've sat in a Viper, I liked the feel. It feels more like a cockpit than a spacious Vette. All business!!!

Corvette is officially endorsed by AARP, not much to worry about.

Damn, George, you started it, as many of us remember how fun this Forum was for years and it seems of late there is way too much negativity. But, then , you lightened it up and I was rolling around --- went from chortle, to guffaw, to outright laughter.

Needless to say we sometimes can not say what we may know or even think we know, but the future of the Viper, ACR, ******* Snake, etc. are going to surprise folks even more in years to come. Not hard to stay positive when you realize the beast slithering towards Dealerships soon, was resurrected from the ashes! Get em into folks hands and on the road and all will be well with the World.
