I have a fresh squeak that popped up a couple of days ago after going over some railroad tracks. Somewhere to the left of the steering wheel and shallow if you know what I mean. Vette guy getting a Viper (what to look for)
Check the ride. ACR has stiffer suspension and the Viper is already much stiffer than your Vete. My 02 practically washboards going over railroad tracks and it isn't an ACR. EBC Green pads look a lot smaller than the OEM
No you are correct Randy. The EBC rears are noticably smaller than the OEM. I will see how they feel. I do not often brake the car extremely hard so if I just get a better bite than before the swap I will probably be satisfied and the rotor turning alone should do that. It is just the rears that are smaller Randy. The fronts look the same size. They do say Viper on the box but I will email Jon at Partsrack anyhow. Thks- Nuck

I am just changing them and I notice a big difference in the contact face size, over and above the fact the pads have a pyramid shape. The well worn existing ones, which appear to be OEM, have some meat left and the contact patch is maybe 20% greater than the EBC pads would be at their lowest...- Nuck

What other repairs would you recommend?
Does the intake have to be pulled off at the same time as the heads? How about extrude honing the intake and port matching the heads? I wouldn't go for a full porting job but a little work might be an idea since things are already off. Ask Macedo about that.- Nuck

Value of Gen I pistons
I can't see much use for them. If they are a standard bore they will only fit another gen one that already has the same ones. Somebody might fry a couple and if they are lucky and the cylinders aren't hatched they would want to replace stock with stock but that leaves 6 or 8 left over. A set of...- Nuck

where to buy windshield in Canada?
Maybe the install is $270 but that seems a bit much. Some glass also requires an install kit which tacks another $120 or so onto the w/s price so that might be it. Also you have another $50+ in PST. Remember that shops get a better rate than the buying public for dealer parts. I weaseled 10% off...- Nuck

They are cheap. I believe they are Dealer only but I was quoted something like $450.00,uninstalled, which was a pleasant surprise. I didn't actually need to replace it, I was just curious.- Nuck
