I have a fresh squeak that popped up a couple of days ago after going over some railroad tracks. Somewhere to the left of the steering wheel and shallow if you know what I mean. I thought about some kind of shim where the dash pieces meet but that seems like kind of a scabby repair. The dash...
Check the ride. ACR has stiffer suspension and the Viper is already much stiffer than your Vete. My 02 practically washboards going over railroad tracks and it isn't an ACR. ACRs don't all have air conditioning which could be a deal breaker. These cars are ovens. If you have wonderfuly smooth...
No you are correct Randy. The EBC rears are noticably smaller than the OEM. I will see how they feel. I do not often brake the car extremely hard so if I just get a better bite than before the swap I will probably be satisfied and the rotor turning alone should do that. When the greens are done...
It is just the rears that are smaller Randy. The fronts look the same size. They do say Viper on the box but I will email Jon at Partsrack anyhow. Thks
I am just changing them and I notice a big difference in the contact face size, over and above the fact the pads have a pyramid shape. The well worn existing ones, which appear to be OEM, have some meat left and the contact patch is maybe 20% greater than the EBC pads would be at their lowest...
Does the intake have to be pulled off at the same time as the heads? How about extrude honing the intake and port matching the heads? I wouldn't go for a full porting job but a little work might be an idea since things are already off. Ask Macedo about that.
I can't see much use for them. If they are a standard bore they will only fit another gen one that already has the same ones. Somebody might fry a couple and if they are lucky and the cylinders aren't hatched they would want to replace stock with stock but that leaves 6 or 8 left over. A set of...
Re: 94 was not admissable into Canada
I think he meant the trip home was 2800 miles all by itself. I can't wait to see it and check out the blower and headers sound.
Re: \'01 RT/10 price advice needed.... Thinking of selling
Be patient. High end cars don't normally turn over in a couple of weeks. It is a pretty select market unless you are really underpriced. Only a thousand or so a year new in the whole country and that was with the convenience of going to...
Maybe the install is $270 but that seems a bit much. Some glass also requires an install kit which tacks another $120 or so onto the w/s price so that might be it. Also you have another $50+ in PST. Remember that shops get a better rate than the buying public for dealer parts. I weaseled 10% off...
They are cheap. I believe they are Dealer only but I was quoted something like $450.00,uninstalled, which was a pleasant surprise. I didn't actually need to replace it, I was just curious.
I think the deal with the Gen 1 being inadmissable to Canada was because the child tether package was not obtainable through DC. You could get those same parts from a Canadian wreck but since the manufacturer could not supply them, Canada Customs excludes the car outright. So even with the...
Too bad you never had a bit more time Erik. There just aren't enough people in western Canada to move an exotic car quickly. Good luck with everything.
What brand of wheel are they? I am not sure that many repair firms will work on magnesium wheels. You might want to contact the manufacturer to see if they either do reconditioning themselves or have a recommendation in your area.
And 12,000 Shelby Mustangs compared to about 18,000 Gen 1 and 2 Vipers. Only a fraction of the Shelby Mustangs are worth big money. At last years BJ Auction I saw an a/t GT500 go for around 50k. That's less than a Challenger T/A "Recreation" sold for.
I think you need to compare the Viper to...
Weren't there more Vipers produced every year than the entire production run of 427 Cobras? Vipers aren't rare enough and the equipment is pretty much identical from one car to another. I don't think most Cobras were bought to be used as street cars so they also have a different kind of...
Try going onto the DC warranty site yourself. If you have the prev owner's name and the VIN you can call it up.
http://www-5.servicecontracts.chrysler.com/
This is an aftermarket type coverage sold by DC rather than an extended powertrain warranty as offered on a new car. There may be a...
Depends on private or dealer. I know of one very similar car to what you are describing that went to a wholesaler for 50k and an 01 that I inquired on was priced privately at I think 51k firm and I believe that is what he sold for. Both yellow coincidentally. Dealers are asking all kinds of...
I am told this will possibly reduce the cabin heat and maybe improve the sound a bit. Roe has 2 1/2" high flow units that are a bolt in with 17-22hp claimed. Partsrack has less expensive "mid flow" Random tech units that look like welding is required. Anyone know how these two compare? On a non...
I am getting a whine which sounds like it is coming from the the right rear. Most noticable under any kind of accelleration in the higher gears, and silent when I back off the throttle. Are the Dodge parts marked up the usual 500% and if so, does anyone have a bearing manufacturers part number...
