My naturally aspirated heavy breathing dragon now puts out 564.1 rwhp and 564.1 rwtq, sounds simply awesome, and even picked up power at the low end too! :headbang:

What's this all mean in practical terms, besides a huge smile on my face? Hang on for your life, that’s what! Last night I was just cruising along at about 50 mph in third gear at about 3000 to 3500 rpm when I gunned it, shifted almost immediately into fourth (having reached 5500 rpm in a second or so) and took fourth up to about 4500 to 5000 rpm in just another second or so, glanced down at the speedo and gasp at the 115, no 120, no . . ., yikes!, slow down, mph. It’s not that the speed is too frightening in and of itself, it was the ease and immediacy of obtaining it that impressed me. “WOW!” was all I could say. What a beast! What a blast! This much naturally aspirated power with a .354 gear change is exhilarating to say the least. What a country!

As for the sound, it’s unbelievable! She sounds ferocious, even at idle... especially at idle. She’s really deep, guttural and choppy, shaking the car and declaring to the world at large her true potential for mayhem ready to be unleashed with a mere tap on the throttle. Everyone notices and positively comments on the sound, which draws people to the car like moths to a light--it’s like a flippin’ car show everywhere I go now, hehe. And at WOT, well…, hehe, the dragon simply ROARS!!!

Thank you Jason Heffner! Job well done! :2tu: Now if I can just get my pilot’s license and a G-suit from the Air Force, I’ll be just fine.

What about more fuel and timing to match the flow on the heads? Do you have a vec2?

stock headers??? What kind of dyno was used, Some of the newer dyno's can give 1/4 mile times.

vd..

good luck and enjoy your beast

I'll work on getting a video put together. Yes, the car was rechipped for fuel management and timing. By whom I'm not sure (someone in California, but not West Coast Viper). The headers are Heffner's, cats are R/T steel, and the cat backs are Corsa. Rockers are T&D. The price was very reasonable, a bargain even. Give Jason a call for a quote.

Are the horsepower and torque really identical down to the tenth, or was this a misprint?

Can you give us a list of things that were done to the car? New parts, changes?

I am pretty sure I have heard this car in person (Heffner Open House) and if this is the same black SRT, it sounds awesome! The cam in that car is outrageous, never knew the V-10 could sound so good.

Yes. Can anyone post the dyno sheet for me in this tread if I email it to them?

Re: Heffner’s SRT Head and Cam Dyno Results

Could you post the dyno graphs?

I'm particularly interested in the effects of the head and cam package in the lower rpm ranges.

Thanks

Casey, I am waiting to hear back from Jason. I have a couple more questions for him.
I am wondering if his e-mail is down, I also tried calling late yesterday and no answer. Jason if you see this call me!
Waitng for a return call or e-mail from Russ also.
You sound like a kid on the night before Christmas, I hope you get everything you ask for!!!
Hey if the weather holds out, call me and maybe Dean and I will take a road trip to be there when the beast is delivered. :2tu:
