Big gamble on this car. Will not know how well it was put back together until it has gone down the road for a bit. Great value if it is well sorted, but horrible financial problem if it is poorly done.
Best to have it gone over by a mechanic with Viper experience. Need to know what a proper...
If you need paint or body work, ask Dan Cragin for a referral to his bodyman, Ole.
Does great work getting everything lined up on reassembly. Lots of Viper rehab experience.
I have heard these same feelings and concerns from a number of VCA members that I have met over the years, and from not only the USA, but also internationally.
I believe the choice will come down to the individual members. If you have had some great times with your regional and national VCA...
For the past two years, the local Vette club has invited our VCA SoCal club to join in them for a Vipers Vs Vette Autocross near Palm Springs. For both of these years we have brought out more Vipers than them, and cleaned their clocks. We took home the big trophy, and enjoyed the time spent with...
Viper Magazine used to be called Viper Quarterly and was produced 4 times a year. A few years ago they decided at a Presidents meeting, to increase it to 6 issues per year at the request of the advertisers that wanted more timely promotional opportunities. This has turned out the be a pretty...
Again I notice Attack…attack…attack. (even attacked a friend)
I was responding to previous questions with facts as I understand them.
To answer the question about where the current VCA members will go for events when their current regional president switches over to the other club, they will...
I read a letter where Ralph was told not to keep butting his nose into the VCA's business. VCA has now another contact, higher up in Chrysler to use as their point of contact. Now I see pictures of Ralph butting his nose into the new club. Can't see this as ending up as anything but ugly for...
One of the great highlights of VOI's is the chance for people that have never taken their Viper to a road course, oval, autocross or drag strip, to experience them in their own cars with skilled instuctors at their side.
To drive a Viper on a real race track is something that every Viper owner...
Do not believe that this event is managed by SRT. More likely invites sent out by J. R. Thompson from their contact lists. No way of knowing who makes the cut, and who is not notified, but if you call their number they can set you up.
Communication for me has been via e-mail. Do not know if...
Think we are getting into just a bit too much drama and detail.
Maybe it is just as simple as price.
Most everybody I know would trade even, their Viper for a New Gen V. (Only people that would not drive heavily modified cars and do not want to put all the money necessary to again modify a new...
Parts Rack makes a pretty nice snap in rubber mounting piece for those states where you need to run a front plate. It just clips in and holds your plate security. If you want to take it off (like at a car show) is only takes a couple seconds.
If you are talking about the Anodized/Carbon, it was on display in the back of the SRT booth at the LA Auto Show. A bunch of the SoCal club members went over to check it out Sunday. It is spectacular. It really shows off the lines of the Viper. You can see so much more detail with this paint...
That company was Rockwell.
At the time it was stated that this was the largest piece ever produced using this method, outside of the space shuttle!

Want to thank SRT, Lance, SoCal VCA, and Motor Village LA for a fantastic event. Made us feel like rock stars.
We were treated like VIP's. After a fun slither through the LA freeways, we arrived at Motor Village LA. This is a fantastic 4 story dealership stocked to the brim with Chryslers...
The SoCal VCA club is going over to the LA Auto show tomorrow to check out this beautiful new snake.
Please let me know if you want any special pictures of any areas on the car.
Gen III Vipers have pretty good air conditioning. They will struggle with 115 heat, especially if you have parked in the sun, but it really works much, much better than previous generations.
Maintenance is really reasonable. Biggest expense is $100 oil changes using Mobile 1. DIY, of course is...
The 14 seat is easy-peasy to lower. Seach this forum for pictorial and instructions. It involves removing a couple spacers under the rear of the seat.
Mark at Woodhouse has all the scoop.
I believe that SRT must build an ACR, just because of the slow sales of the current car. When they last released the ACR it indeed breathed fresh life into a strugging Viper production line. It turned out to be a huge hit. Everybody got all excited again, and lots of people got out their...
