    Spark Plug Wires' Options?

Re: Spark Plug Wires\' Options? I switched to the MSD wires and I do hear a little radio interference but I have a stock exhaust. If the car were louder I probably wouldn't be able to notice it. The wires are a bit of a [******] to fit into the stock wire anchors.

    used this before ?

A strong magnet (preferably, neodymium) on the outside of the filter works just fine and you can reuse it.

anyone with experience using the kwiklift with a Viper?

I am thinking about getting the kwiklift (www.kwiklift.com). I need something inexpensive that will give me some working room under the car. Anyone using these? Thanks Bruce

    Please help..VIPER WONT START :(

Is it turning over but acting like it has no fuel? It may also be the EEM (the alarm unit). There have been some posts about a problem with the relays (or whatever) in the EEM acting up in high humidity. If the unit is armed it will not active the fuel pump relay. One fix to try is to disconnect...

how to disconnect the alarm system's control of the fuel pump?

Re: how to disconnect the alarm system\'s control of the fuel pump? Thanks for the help everybody. I think I am going to put an on-off keyed switch across the momentary disarm switch (that way I can use the alarm when it's parked). If it doesn't stall with that turned on then I must have...

how to disconnect the alarm system's control of the fuel pump?

how to disconnect the alarm system\'s control of the fuel pump? I have been having problems with the Viper stalling intermittently. Took it to a Viper tech but they couldn't reproduce the problem. I am pretty sure it's the alarm system shutting off the fuel pump. Is there any way to disable the...

Cytech Double Park Lift (getting 3 cars in a 2 car garage)

Unless the contractor ran a strength test for the concrete in your slab when they poured it I wouldn't take a chance. To be certain, get a testing company to do a core test of your existing slab (they drill a "plug" out of your slab and run a compression test on it in the lab). Personally...

0442- a small leak has been detected in the evaporative system 0445- a large leak has been detected in the evaporative system Probably a leak in the system hosing, maybe in the canister. Not a big deal until you go for a smog check. The evap system controls the emission of gasoline vapors into...

    Trickle charger?

Interesting, I didn't know that. However, a good battery tender provides the optimal life for a battery, all other things being equal. All batteries have a self-draining current (even when totally disconnected and sitting on the shelf) which is partially responsible for limiting their lifespan...

    Trickle charger?

The battery tender is what you want, not a trickle charger. The tender actually monitors the battery's "condition" and it cycles the charging current. The trickle charger just keeps applying a constant current and is not as good for battery life as a tender.

VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!! Someone needs to put a dyno inside a wind tunnel. Those test results would convince me once and for all.

How do you get the bugs out of the radiator?

I made a cover out of window screen with velcro tabs at the top to make it removable for cleaning. It does a great job of keeping crap out of the radiator and getting into the engine compartment and doesn't seem to impede the airflow at all.

Nadine- UK I have a question

Does the weatherstripping help to support the hood? That is, if you remove it do you notice any rattling or vibration because of that lack of contact?

    Lighter flywheel?

It's the relative change in the mass polar moment of inertia of the entire rotating assembly (crank, rods, pistons, belt, pumps, etc.) that counts. The polar moment of inertia defines the resistance of an object to rotational acceleration. My gut feeling is that the reduction in that due to a...

Inlet air temps thru the NACA duct.

I monitor the intake air temp. (from the sensor in the air box, I have smooth tubes and K&N's). It typically runs about 10 deg. higher than the outside air at highway speeds but can easily go 50 deg. or more when the car is standing and idling.

    Engine stalls?

Same thing here. I put a fuel pressure gauge on it and you could see the pressure drop to zero and then it dies. A viper tech checked it out but couldn't find anything and, of course, he couldn't get it to die for him.

    intermittent ignition--question

I am (or was) suffering the same type of problem. The car died several times while driving and also stumbled a few times. Once it dies I turn off the key and it will immediately start up again. The battery is only a few months old and I checked all of the fuses, relays, and electrical...

My Viper dies and then restarts...could use some advice

It was while in motion. It just died, no mis-fire, nothing. I got my hands on a fuel pressure gauge last night so I will check that today. I am going to bring it into John Hine on Weds. I think I have exhausted all possibilities that are fixable at home. Guessing it's the fuel pump or a...

My Viper dies and then restarts...could use some advice

Battery cables look good. The battery reads about 12.6 V when off and 13.8 V when idling (I use the Davis car chip and monitor the voltage constantly, it has always read around 13.7 to 13.9 V when driving). Plug wires (MSD) have about 200 miles on them and the plugs have about 4k miles on them...

My Viper dies and then restarts...could use some advice

I think the battery is fine. It's a Diehard and only a few months old. I keep it on a tender whenever it's not on the road. Tonight I will doublecheck the cables. I don't have a VEC. I will check the fuses and relays, that sounds like a likely cause although it could be the alarm because there...

My Viper dies and then restarts...could use some advice

Went to drive the Viper this morning. Car ran fine for about 3 blocks then just dies...no check engine light or error code (felt to me like I ran out of fuel). I turn the key off and then try to start it. Runs fine for another few blocks and then dies again. I turn it off and then restart, it...
