I had to have my stud bosses machined by Mike Malone at Machine Works to get the proper geometry. I have a Comp cam as well, needed different length pushrods. IMO, do it right and have the heads machined.

I agree with Catwood re: Belangers but I would probably suggest B&B's etc without the forcing cone in the collectors since he will be SC'ing/NOX'ing his Viper.

You'll probably get as many opinions as to which header is best as there are header manufacturers! I have Belangers and I believe that they run cool and give a little increase in HP in a NA Viper. However, the forcing cone in the collector might be too restrictive if you SC your Viper...

I am in agreement with Keith, having just installed the VEC2 as well. It's flexibility is good enough to tune my ACR with new cam and heads AND most importantly for any street-driven Viper, maintains the OBDII functionality. Agree that headers would help as a first engine mod.
