    Fast Freddy: I don't know about rebuilding them. I haven't gotten that far yet. I'm still trying to fight it out with the dealer... Eric H: Thanks for the additional info. Kind of sucks that the shocks don't hold up all that well.

    Fast Freddy: Replacement cost: My dealer quoted me $2,300 for a rear shock and $4,300 for a front shock.

    It looks like the dealer is going to deny my claim on my driver's side rear ACR shock on my 2002 ACR. The top of the shock is bent backward, so far back that it is pinching the rebound adjustment so that it can't turn. They can't figure any way that this could have happened but have stated...

    $5k less than asking prices is a bit optomistic. I think you can generally figure to get a high-end car like a Viper for about $2k, MAYBE $3k, off asking price from a private party. From a dealer you should be able to shave $3k off the asking price.
