    Why I bought this car

So I could get around those high horsepower mustangs/et al that don't know how to drive. It's working. I'm at thunderhill this weekend with the nor cal shelby club and I just had to post I have to say I'm having the BEST F***ing time going around all these guys that used to just be a pain in...

Look at these nice clean suspension parts (pic)

I just did this to my car over the weekend. It doens't look as nice as yours, Steve, but I have to say after 2000 miles and a Viperdays event, it was looking 'in need.' Nice job (but you bum-me-out I didn't take photos ). Eric

    Forgeline VRs (photos)

Brad, Thanks for the link. I've never been much for those mid-week events; track time shouldn't be sandwiched mid-week, IMHO. I know a lot of these guys offer a ton of track time, and I guess if you're a real track-rat who stores their car "ready to drive" then fine. But in my case, with...

    Valve Trane Chatter

Normal. Some say you can now hear the valve train on the new 'creme-puffs' since they don't have the same lumpy cams of the earlier cars. Go read some old posts, it's nothing to be concerned about. Eric

    Forgeline VRs (photos)

This is far and away the most appealing mod I've ever made to a car: (note the stagger) (those 19-inchers dwarf the brakes, can you tell there are only two wheels on this car?) (Nice fender gap, huh? -- I kinda like the levitation myself) I'm still working on the brakes for Thunderhill...

    How about these babies!?

My Forgeline VRs came in today: Shod with Pilot Sports: 345/30/19, and 295/35/19 To be bolted up this weekend Or, I was thinking about having the lip, which is machined finished from the factory, polished-out. But that's going to take 3-4 weeks. . . hmmmm. This is a photo of a front...

    Screw - Tire / Replace??

Some (better) tire shops in my area won't plug a high performance tire -- they insist the correct fix is to remove the tire from the rim and patch it from the inside. Also a plug destroys the belts in that area. I don't think a new tire is needed, but I would head the advise of your bretheren...

    18" vs. 19" wheels

Re: 18\" vs. 19\" wheels Assume you're asking Anthony in the post immediately above? Did you happen to make it to Viper Days last weekend in Thunderhill, only about 80 miles (50 minutes!) from Sacto? Archer had a set of 19" Forgeline VRs (new, 2nd set in existance) that were gorgeous. They...

"feel" of Viper power compared to...

Re: \"feel\" of Viper power compared to... What Craig sez. I just sold a lightly modded 99Cobra (290RWHP), not a WS6, but a reasonable contender no less, and bought a GTS ACR in Dec. Getting back into the Cobra (sold in Feb) after driving the Viper was like going from the Cobra to a Honda...

    engine compartment fires?

As a newbie to Viperdays (last weekend, thunderhill CA), I took the "rookie" class. Skip Thomas did a great job familiarizing us with the ins-and-outs of these unique cars. He did spend disproportionate amount of time explaining the PS fluid reservior problem - bottom line, as mentioned, was...
