I bought one from Snake Oyl products and was not particularly happy with it. It mounted on existing bolts, but the prongs were pretty pointed and I kept hitting my ankle on it getting around the car in the close quarters of my garage. I eventually hit a curb directly on the prongs of the chin...
It seems like some clunk is common in the Viper driveline. I have had some with my 94 and various Viper Techs have told me it is normal. Check the u-joints, halfshafts and transmission mount for any sign of play or loseness. I replaced a half shaft and it 50% went away.
Wow. That front facia is beat to ****. Plan on $900 for a good strip and repaint. Dash has been repainted black. Should have the grey fuzzy paint that falls off if you touch it. I would go a few dollars more ($35,000) for an immaculate example with 20,000 or less. Make sure the head...
$900 to remove, strip, paint and reinstall. Perfect paint match and alignment with hood after reinstall. Had been previously repainted without stripping and without flexall. Lots of paint cracks.
$300 job the first time. Done right the second time.
They used to make a product called Egg White way back when. It was named after the use of real egg white in radiators to stop leaks on Model T's. The stuff cooked inside the radiator and plugged small pin holes. I am not sure Stop Leak is any better, same principle. Stay away from it unless...
New tires that are cold are as dangerous as old tires. Never put the hammer down until you have driven enough to warm up the tires.
I try to park 3 feet from a parking block to avoid scraping the front. It is embarassing to get your front end over a parking block and then have to have ask two...
I had a relative who determined engine lubricant specs for a living tell me to never use a heavier weight oil than recommended. He claimed it would cause engine wear until the heavier oil flowed at the same rate as the recommended viscosity.
Talked to my agent about this yesterday. He had me bring the car up to take pictures. Said car had to be pristine, driven under 2,000 miles a year and mostly for car shows or club events. Since I have only driven it about 1,000 a year for the past 6 years, I made the switch. He asked about...
What do you mean it will never happen to a Viper? Viper magazine delivered today has a Viper pro street drag car with Hemi. In excess of 2,000 horsepower and a pro street world record of 6.450 seconds and 222.69 MPH.
I might just swap my V-10 for a Hemi so I can say "Sure, its got a Hemi" get...

This is the point of my previous post exactly. A 2000 ACR with $40,000 in mods that sold for $50,100. Ouch!
A stock ACR should sell for that now and for much more in the future. Most used Viper buyers don't want their car to spend...
The bidder's package includes 12 drink tickets a day for a week. That's 72 drinks for $500 and only $400 if you register early. That makes it seem almost like you are getting to bid for free and may also explain some of the excessive bids. I saw $11,500 for a 66 VW Bug today and $65,000 for a...
1995 Venom 600 was a 1995 black with silver stripes and and 18K miles. Car looked pretty sharp with hardtop, hard side windows and A/C. The stripes looked to be painted. This was also a magazine cover car for some magazine supercar shootout that year and this car was the winner.
I agree...
