Someone PLEASE HELP me......
My 94 has been completely rebuilt (with LOTS of mods) and is not running right. It appears that the computer is staying in an open loop and not delivering the correct A/F mixture. On initial engine start-up and run in on the chassis dyno it looks good for over...
I'll bite -
I am a Navy SEAL - currently stationed in Japan as my viper sits dormant for 2 years in Ca....ok not really dormant - its at ESI racing engines being modified
Cheers Tristan

Phil Thearles Auto Werks - tell them I sent you - their work is perfect - makes the factory paint look like it was put on with a rag. I think they are in Lemon Grove. You will NOT be dissapointed with their work - also ask for a shop tour - very impressive...

My Platoon just got out of the field in Thailand, and I bought the car over the net in Nov from Thailand. I redeployed to SEAL team One in Jan, and could not sleep so I took the next plane to Chicago and was met by the owner at the airport. I was nervous all the way to his house, and as soon...
I think the old viper is a much more aggresive car, with lines that will never go out of style. While the new viper is 'nice' I don't think it's lines are classic - or that they will stand the test of time. It has gone mainstream and will require "UPDATING" to keep it looking fresh; I prefer...
Viper,
I have a 94 viper - and dare I say it I don't think I could add anymore mods to the engine (no NOS or FI) I am hoping to get around 530-570 hp to the rear tires when I get it back. My motor should be done in the next month, and I will post the dyno pulls. If you have any questions...
Possible solution....
I have a 94, and have adjusted the headlights a few times without removing the front fascia. If you push on the fog lights they should pivot at the top (inward) as they pop out of the groove that holds them on the bottom. Next remove the rubber inspection boot right in...
I would NOT use any kind of radiator sealant. On all the cars I have worked on all it did was gum up the thermostate and other critical areas of the coolant loop. I would invest the time into finding out where the leak is (ie head gaskets) and fix it properly once. Trust me your wallet, and...
I found a place (ACPT) that makes carbon fiber drive shafts. I was wondering if anyone has used one with say the aluminum fly wheel. They claim that harmonic vibrations are eliminated, and that (obviously) they weigh a lot less. Reading their web site reveals that many heavy duty machinery...
If your gasket is like my 94's you should not need any sealant. The only thing to watch for is in each of the bolt holes (and there are a lot) is a little metal spacer....make sure you don't loose any of these. I forget what they get torqued down to when re-assembling, but when you install the...
Jeff,
I have upgraded the rockers (TNT 1.7)...I don't think there is a thing I have not changed or modified...ok the connecting rods, and crank. Thanks for the input - I am looking forward to seeing the car strapped to a chassis dyno and seeing what it makes at the rear tire.
Jmandela,
I actually live in california (for another 2 weeks). I am in a special branch of the Navy, and it requires a lot of moving. Like I said before, I used to work on a lot of exotic cars, and I can be extreemly picky with details especially when it come to engines. Bob at ESI is...
Sorry,
I should have specified.....They are engine builders, not a service department. The only thing they do is engine work. They do everything in-house nothing is contracted out.
I am currently having my 94 rebuilt (no it did not need it), and having some performance mods completed. As a former mechanic who used to work on Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati's I can tell you a good engine place is hard to find. ESI racing in San Diego (619)229-7765 is the best place I...
I went a little different route -
I have the TNT headers ($2500), and TNT free flow exhaust (no cats...$1000). I can say the car is much louder, it frequently stops people walking about 1 block ahead - I guess they wonder what the hell is making all that noise. It definately sounds...
HELP
Can someone please tell me if a GEN I cyclinder liner is capable of supporting a .030 overbore??? Will the wall be too thin?? If this is the case what is the maximum that it can support. Secondly if it can support the overbore what are the best pistons for the job??
Thanks...

I made my own splitter. I took some aircraft grade aluminum (3/8") and placed it on the floor under the car. I then traced out the front bumper on the aluminum, and measured back to the frame. From here I took the metal and had it laser cut to my specifications. It looks kinda like the...
I got a 345 rear end from TNT motorsports, and when the new rear end arrived it came with the same type of box you described and a detailed set of instructions on how to install it. If you call TNT I am sure they would have no problem faxing you a copy of the instructions. They have always...
Help,
I am having my 94 re-built by ESI engines in San Diego (they make winston cup engines) and I was wondering if anyone knew what the 23 fixes were for the GEN I engine. If anyone has a site that details these corrections, or someone I could call it would be greatly appreciated. I want...
Thanks JonB,
I appreciate all of your help with my Viper....especially since I have not seen it for close to 7 months. May you, and every other person in America have a wonderful Thanksgiving
