Fred,
To the best of my knowledge, I don't know you, and haven't met you.
Please don't take my challenge of your opinion as an attack of your character. That being said, consider the following points:
You state:
"It also sounds like there were some contract employees not from the regular...
Interesting to read other people's opinions. Mine is the similar.
Not a single instructor asked me how much experience I have driving, and they all pretty much assumed I was an rich idiot in a overpowered sports car and that this was my FIRST lap on the track.
I had some really good...
These sound like a great idea, and I don't dispute your needing to charge this much for the product.
Here is some price feedback anyway.
I'd be interested in a pair of header heat shields at about 1/3 the price- $300 for the pair.
Actually this is about the same for the remaining parts. at...
I left VOI at 9:30am on Sunday traveling west on I40. There were cops ALL over the place! I almost got shot twice with Instant On from the opposite lane during the first 80 miles. In each case when my V1 went off I slammed on the brakes, and was getting passed on the inside. Each time time I...
I've got a ripper shifter installed. My original gear shift knob was hideously worn after 69K miles, so I bought one of the MGW shifters. The problem is that the MGW shift knob is so short that I can't get the leverage that I need to shift gears reliably, and reverse is now a TWO handed...
I'm not an expert on this, but I do have an opinion.
Unless the cat is blocked, it shouldn't have any effect on how the computer meters the fuel to the car:
There are two sets of Oxygen sensors per side of the vehicle. The first one on the exhaust manifold is monitored by the computer to fine...
OK,
So I'm a moron! I'm used to changing the oil in my 911 Turbo, and I always use 15W50 Synthetic Mobile One. Not thinking, I used the same in my Viper. The manual says to use 10W-30. Do I need to drain this and replace my 15W-50 with 10W-30 or am I OK?
Any opinions???
Thanks!
Paul
You Know, I was just going to post something about how great this baord was, as I've already got someone to share a room with...
Then I see your posts... Probelm is I can't reply on this G rated baord the way I'd like, so I'll just have to do it in person when we meet. Imagine a raised index...
Hi,
Being a procrastinator and a cheapa$$ ba$tard, I haven't reserved a room yet, nor do I want to pay the full $$$ per night. Any one want to share a room?
Let me know.

PS- I'm driving there, so I can also give someone a lift from Dallas.
PSS- Wow...
Well I just finally fixed the exhaust on my Viper. After going almost deaf with headers, high flow cats and a set of bullet mufflers in the rear with a cross over tube- This car was obscenely loud. It basically sounded like no muffler at all, and it was impossible to talk in the car at any...
After being absent for 8 weeks, I thought I'd check out what was going here. I was hoping hear that the SRT-10 had been canceled or redesigned. No change = thumbs down.
Tim,
Does the car do this all the time, or is it an intermittent problem?
If it does it all the time, then using a OBDII tool your tech should be able to look at all the engine parameters and figure out what's going on even if the check engine light is not on.
If it's intermittent, then...
In Texas when you purchase a vehicle, you have to pay 6.25% State sales tax. The tax is paid to the Tax Collectors office which is part of the DMV at the time that you title the car.
Now the law, (IMHO) is really screwed up. This has to do with when you purchase a vehicle that you were...
Are you sure about the 2.2K value? Sounds like way to high of a resistance value... I'd expect something in the 50 to 200 ohm range. Have you measured the resistance of the solenoid?
I have experience with the Ease Diagnostics Chrysler OBD II Scan Tool, and their generic one on my 97 GTS.
The generic one was very slow to update- perhaps 2 to 3 times a second. The one that is specific to the Chrysler protocol is much faster, approximately 10+ times per second. The update...
Oh the joys of owning a used car worked on by an incompetent mechanic...
While tracking down a slight amount of play in the steering of my Viper I noticed that I could move the power steering rack up and down about 1/8 of an inch. Turns out some careless mechanic neglected to replace the two...
Thanks everyone for all the enthusiasm!
For the first time in MONTHS I haven't been on the VCA site every 10 minutes checking to see if there were new comments... I was actually out driving my car all day. Imagine that!
I can't get anything past you guys: Yeah, I didn't put the wheel caps on...
FINALLY!!!!
Ok I need to thank all the members who encouraged me.
I really need to thank those who's generosity in supplying me parts at give away prices made my dream possible.
Here's a before picture, and an after picture.
There's a whole sequence available at...
Re: Bob Lutz Gives\"Thumbs Down\" to the SRT/10!!!!!
Wayne,
I agree with you. I do have one question though: If you think it sucks so much, why are you using the 2003 SRT-10 logo for your avatar?(!)
