What Do You Think of These One Off Wheels?

Wheels look bad, the spoiler looks bad too and the soft top looks like a man with a bad hairpiece. Remove all that and the car will look nice.

    I'm an owner

I like the new site. But it lost my avitar and says that I'm an enthusiast instead of an owner. Can it be fixed? Thanks, joe117

A few pics of the Gen 1 engine transplant

Re: A few pics of the Gen 1 engine transplant + Tea The first picture shows intake runners with three ribs. A later picture, with the engine in the car shows runners with more than three ribs. My 94 has three ribs. When did it change?

I got RIPPED OFF by a fellow Viper Owner

There are jerks out there. Remember the guy who came on the forum looking for rear end gears. I had an old set and told him he could have them for the shipping cost. I sent them and the guy went away never to be seen again. He did this rather than pay $12.

Is radiator stop leak bad for your car?

Think of stop leak as a way to get you home. After you discover a leak, you should fix it asap. Never think of stop leak as a real repair.

Hard top questions for Gen 1

I have the factory hard top, soft top and Jeff's one piece top. I'm not much for convertables so I didn't bother with the trunk top. I leave Jeff's top on all the time. If I wanted to drive the car as a convertable, I'd just pack along the factory soft top in case of rain. His top comes with a...

Input on changing the color of my Viper

I would much rather have a white Viper than the black one I have. I'm just thinking that a total color change like that would be a very big deal and no matter how professional the painter, all the little edges, under screw heads, all those places would never look right again.

GA-VCA Pulled over during charity event

If you don't run a front plate you are giving every Barny Fife a solid reason to stop you. What do you expect the cops to do? Ignore the front plate law because you have a Viper? There was a time when the front plate law was just chicken sh.. Today, with red light cameras..... It's money in...

So With All This Speak Of MPG, I Have A Question

My old 96 C4 Vette has that readout. Must be too complex for a Viper.

    Battery question?

"The electrical loads are so great in today's vehicles that the batteries rarely are fully charged, even after a fairly long drive." If you drive with your lights on and your giant aftermarket stereo blasting, that might be true, but I'm not even sure that would use up all the alternator...

    Battery question?

If your car will not charge the battery when you are driving, something is wrong with the car or the battery. Since you said you replaced two batteries at the same time in two different cars, I suspect the batteries are faulty. A small charger, battery tender, kind of thing isn't going to hurt...

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!! "there is absolutely no way that it does not: 1) direct high pressure air from the facia into the airbox," You can make up all the science you want. Here are two articles that speak to the "ram air myth"...

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!! "1) it directs high pressure air from the facia into the airbox, 2) it prevents hot underhood air from entering the airbox," If you have done any testing to show that this is true, please post it. As you mentioned, RussM did make those measurements...

VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!! Here's what they said that started the whole thing. Is anyone going to claim that they feel that 50hp boost with a Vipair while driving home after bolting it on? "Baseline run the car did 371.9 RWHP and 419.9 RWTQ, 5 minutes later with the VIPAIR™...

VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!!

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!! Torky, As Vipah said, the measurements were made. With the Vipair in place, driving down the highway, there was no difference in ambient under the hood air temp vs. intake air temp. There was no difference in pressure either. So let's say that the...

Roe Supercharger Installation - Tricks, Traps, missing directions

"You WILL need solder, paste and a small gun as one SHOULD solder every wire connection" I would use rosin core solder. With rosin core, 60/40 solder, you won't need any soldering paste. The advantage there is that some soldering paste is not intended for electrical use. If you get rosin core...

Re: VIPAIR™ Dyno Results on 99 RT 16 RWHP!! "I bought one, and can feel the difference." Uhhhhh.... No, you can't. And for those who claim that the extra hp can't be measured on a dyno.... That makes some sense, since the thing is supposed to make some power by directing high speed...

Today is a sad day for the Viper Nation!

"might have withdrawls and come up there with a check!!" Any time you are ready. ;-) Thinking about your reason for selling.... I've had more than a few "project" cars over the years, wierd engine swaps, that sort of thing. And every one of them turned out the same way. After it was done and...

    Tires and Snake Bite

The sticky Kumho's really give you some traction. They are a very soft sticky compound. I believe they are supposed to last 5k miles or so. That would be years the way I drive my Viper. I don't believe that you could use them on a car that was driven in heavy rain. They would hydro for sure...
