    What's a RB1 Navigation worth?

I bought one in 2005 or 2006 for $425 - it was a take out item from a dealership. I installed that & Sirius in my 04 Ram. Spent another $200 on the sirius equipment & wiring.

    2001 R/T Value?

I haven't been on here as often lately nor do I really trust "ebay" prices. Long story short: Dad's business is sucking ass in this economy. He has a '42 Pontiac Silver Streak (project car, acid dipped & worked on by a well known restoration & rod shop) or the 2001 Viper R/T ( I think...

    RB1 Nav question . . .

Yes! Turn the little NAV knob until you get to the right side of the screen. The Right side should have an i ( INFORMATION) logo. Hit enter on that, it'll show ETA and total miles to go!

    K&N Cleaning Filters?

I always wash my K&N's out into a garbage pale. Mine is white, so I get to see all the junk and #$&#$ that comes outa it!

another GenIII bites the dust. :-(

...to make matters worse, I ran at RA in a circle track stock car meant to turn left. We just took the lead from the left side frame rail and put it all on the right side to balance it as much as we could. Turning right? Who does that?:lmao:

another GenIII bites the dust. :-(

I've been to RA twice on Hoosier F75 slicks. I can't imagine taking the kink flat out. That definitely has to have a pucker factor.

another GenIII bites the dust. :-(

Edit - I just realized we're talking about two different wrecks. I have a picture on my phone. Most of the damage was to the Right Rear corner of the car, including the rear end/axle.

another GenIII bites the dust. :-(

I just got news that a Gen III went off the track up in the kink and wacked the wall at Road America. It's totaled, but the driver is OK. Blue with white stripes. Thats all I know as of right now...

    how to pop rivets?

No, It just helps with the modial interaction of magneto reluctance and capacitive deractance. :2tu: It's all about the turbo encabulator.:headbang: ....but no, seriously, you won't see the HP gains until you put a coat of Zaino on the colored rivets.

    how to pop rivets?

I can't say for sure what size the Viper rivets are, but I would guess that they would be 3/16. Most automotive rivets are either 1/8 or 3/16. The best way to take out the rivet it to use the appropriate size drill bit, but carefully drilling to just break the head ( the visible flat ) part of...

    Dumb mistake, please help.

YES. I usually break mine in half. Put one half in a ziplock back, and then use the other half. You might use both, but regardless - if you drop one of the halves - THROW IT OUT, and start with the new one. If your car has never seen a clar bar, I would suggest on planning to use both...

Head and neck restraints; lessons from my wreck

I race circle-track race cars, and will never race without a HANS. I'm thankful that I made my HANS purchase before my hard wreck, rather than after. I learned exactly how valuable a HANS device is almost a year ago.. Coming to the green flag, a guy a few cars ahead of me had ran into the...

    In car video camera question

I race roundy-rounds on the local short track. We use a Kodak EasyShare digital camera with a large memory card to film our in-car footage. Works decent, and it's not as expensive as some of the in-car systems. If I had the cash for it, I'd probably look into a nice bullet cam system though.

    How many of you would???

Petsnake - I wasn't trying to offend you ( albeit, maybe just poke a little fun at you ;) ). I did want to...for everyone else's sake, point out the fact about your previous thread so they understood where you're coming from. This thread, and many like it have beaten the dead horse on here for...

He's just mad that he doesn't have traction control because he already curb-rashed his wheels on his '08 from losing control..

    Looking for race seat advice

(My knowledge & post here comes from non-viper applications - take it for what it's worth.) For comfort, You'll be better off buying a custom-tailored seat than an off the shelf model. Even then, it still won't be close to your OEM seats - because remember, it's a racing seat. Racing seats...

    rich guy w/viper update

They're publicly available online in most states through online public record searches. The state of WI has one for the whole state, shows all things having to do with an individual and the court system. Then in Illinois it's done by individual counties. I saved my a really good friend's ass...

    Your First Viper Experience?

First time I ever saw a Viper was probably the first or second year of production. The local dealership had one that they were haning onto...er... i mean, selling for an outrageous price. They had it in a local parade. I was to young to really understand then... Fast Forward to 2002, late...

    Danica Patrick can kick rocks

Not personally. I went to the same schools they went to, at the same time Danica's sister went through. She's a decent driver, and she'll probably always have a ride due to her marketability, but she hasn't won a race since her go-kart days. For someone to come out and use her marketability...

Using a HANS device in a 2008 Viper

Rich, No, there would not be a compatibility issue. When Bell installs your helmet anchors, they come directly from HANS, made specifically for the Hans tethers. Most helmet manufacturers now at least offer some sort of Hans installation with factory-order helmets now. :2tu:

Using a HANS device in a 2008 Viper

I highly reccomend using a HANS device - I've actually "used" my hans in a head on collision and it was, and still is worth every penny. I don't know if you already have a helmet or are helmet shopping. You can order some helmets new from the factory with the HANS anchors pre-installed...

Danica Patrick drives the 2008 Dodge Viper

HANS DEVICE: aka... keeps you from hyper-extending your neck in a wreck... It does sound as if Danica doesnt know exactly what she's saying, and like others said - that maybe she's repeating someone else's words. However, remember she did not even complete High School. She dropped out early...
