CCV plastic barb fell through grommet--is that a problem?

The little plastic barb between the CCV grommet (the one on top of the block) and the hose just slipped right down. I removed the grommet and tried to retrieve the plastic piece, but it had gone down too far. What are the effects of this happening? Will it damage anything in the crank case?

Where can I get the Viper GTS decals / emblems / badges?

VPA has a few emblems but not Viper GTS in black.

Where can I get the Viper GTS decals / emblems / badges?

I need the emblems that say Viper GTS (I need both sides for the hood and I also need the one for the rear bumper that says Viper GTS) in BLACK. I do not need the one that says DODGE. Any ideas? Thanks!

    GTS, Borla, and Drone

Sorry I didn't take any before I put it back together. For the CLD Tiles, over the big, flatter areas, I just put the whole tile down (they're 6" x 10"). For the smaller areas, I sliced them up into pieces (6" x 5" or even 6" x 2.5"). As long as you cover at least 25% of the area with the...

    GTS, Borla, and Drone

Here are the results of my sound-deadening adventure. I have a Borla and, like many others, don't care much for the GTS drone. I added an X-pipe and that reduced some, but certainly not a whole lot, of the drone. So I visited sounddeadenershowdown.com and purchased their CLD Tiles and MLV...

X-Pipe welded into a Borla system?

I have a Borla and installed the Magnaflow 3" Tru-X X-pipe to help reduce drone. Don't expect a magnificent reduction, but it did help some. It seemed to evenly quiet down the entire sound frequency range.

Viper tech near Kerrville, TX? Or San Antonio?

I'm looking to replace my wrecked Viper with one from Kerrville, TX (about an hour northwest of San Antonio). I'd be buying it sight unseen. Any recommendations on where I should send it for a pre-purchase inspection? Thanks in advance!

Viper tech in the Salem, OR area?

I'm considering purchasing a Viper (sight unseen) that's located in Salem. Where's a nearby respected Viper tech? Is Ken Klickman still around? I remember Timberline Dodge but it's been nearly a decade since we've lived in the area. Thanks!

Any idea on if I'm totaled or not?

Yeah, I could buy the car back and probably make a real nice deal on the parts. Again, consulting with JonB helped immensely on that part.

Any idea on if I'm totaled or not?

Here's the result: adjuster came out, started punching in each damaged item into the computer. She had gotten the fascia, tire, wheel, and then when she clicked "hood", the screen flashed "TOTALED". She did a double take and said, "Whoa! This hood is $20K!" She hadn't even gotten around to...

Any idea on if I'm totaled or not?

Well, I got under it today and looked at the frame. The upper and lower control arm brackets did push it in. The backside of the frame (the opposite side of where the brackets are mounted) is still straight. I still can't believe it's gonna be two days before an adjuster even looks at it...

Any idea on if I'm totaled or not?

Wow, thanks for the quick replies! As they say, come for the car, stay for the people. That's probably the main reason that I plan on getting another Viper to replace this one. We've made so many friends in the last 9 years of being in the VCA and there's no way we'd want those relationships...

Any idea on if I'm totaled or not?

I have an '00 GTS, bone stock with 62K miles. Long story short, I was sitting still when two other cars collided with each other. The ricochet effect sent one of them slowly sliding into my Viper. My front driver's wheel seemed to take most of the impact, but here are the damages so far...

A/C stopped functioning... probably something simple.

Ah, I love the VCA forums and the wealth of knowledge shared. Here's my story: On the first hot day this spring, I'm driving my Viper and turn on the A/C. No cold air. Just ambient temperature air. I'm thinking, great, just what I want to spend my time investigating. Well, I bring the...

10k miles and clutch is about done?????? what the heck

Ah, Idiocracy. Great movie. The sad (but true) documentary of the future. The movie is supposed to be a comedy, and although I laugh throughout it, I can't help but get depressed knowing that the world really is coming to that.

10k miles and clutch is about done?????? what the heck

Jesus, reading this thread makes me think I'm in some sort of nightmare where everyone communicates to each other by text message, even though they're sitting at the same table. Oh, wait. That's what high schoolers waste their time doing in real life. Nemo, I don't believe Dave is only...

Repost? Another 08 (SSG) bites the dust before leaving dealer.

Man, that is sad. All the money and time that went into creating that fine automobile and then it's just a crushed heap in seconds.

    Should I Complain?

Agree with all--got my PS2s from JonB and the handling is far superior. I love them! I would never go back to the regular PS. I'm not sure if the PS2s will last as long with them being softer, but the improvement in driveability is worth it.

    Driving your Viper In Colorodo?

Yeah, it's mostly unnoticeable. I owned the Viper at sea level for a year before moving to Colorado. I notice the difference the most when trying to launch from zero--doesn't seem to get up and go quite as fast. But you get pretty used to it. And the VCA here has an awesome time on all of...

    Blasphemy!

Okay, I just looked back and saw that you took her on a "spirited" drive. Falling asleep while cruising on the interstate is one thing. But lacking the excitement to stay awake during a spirited drive? Ouch. My wife enjoys the power--she has actually drag raced and autocrossed the Viper...

Mopar At Thunder Mountain 2007 - Bandimere

Too bad more Vipers didn't show up--they had a jet truck make two passes, each at 222 MPH (7.1 seconds, I think). I absolutely love jet cars/trucks. They brought out a jet dragster that was much louder, but it didn't go when the green light went. They were planning on trying again but were...

Mopar At Thunder Mountain 2007 - Bandimere

The shootout got down to the last two cars (me and a red Prowler), but we couldn't make the final run due to the rain. We ended up splitting the prize. Coming back home to the Springs that night, we got caught in a very wet blizzard! Inches of slush on I-25. That's definitely the most snow...
